PEACE FOR UKRAINE - PRAYER AND SUPPORT

The people of the Tunbridge Wells Church Group, along with many millions of people worldwide, were deeply shocked by Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.  We remain deeply concerned about the violence and are committed to pray for and support the people of Ukraine in any way we can.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Support

The Council have issued a news letter giving links to a number of helpful sites such as: A Job Club,  Free Mental Health Awareness Workshops, Meet Ups In the Town, English Language Courses and English Language Help.

A PRAYER FOR UKRAINE

God of peace and love, we want to pray, we need to pray for Ukraine, but we’re not sure what to say.  We see and hear the terrible news, words and images which trouble us to the core, and we wonder how we can help.  Direct our words and actions to help the people of Ukraine.

We cry out for peace, for hope, for an end to the fighting and space to rebuild broken lives and communities.  We prayer for those who have fled and those who remain, for those who are not able to leave and those who continue to fight in defence of their nation.   Lord, have mercy.

Lord, we find it hard to understand why these things are happening, we wonder where you are in all this, but we will trust you, for you are our God, our only hope.  Here our prayer.  Amen
